Sewage Sludge a resource for soil remediation

Sewage sludge is the residual, semi-solid material that is produced as a by-product during sewage treatment of industrial or municipal wastewater.

The main problems are makes are Pathogens, Micro-pollutants, Heavy metals, foul-smell, hazardous substances, etc. After treatment, and dependent upon the quality of sludge produced (for example, with regards to heavy metal content), sewage sludge is most commonly either disposed of in landfills, dumped in the ocean, or applied to the land for its fertilizing properties.

The technological patent of the Wormarvel Group provides a unique and groundbreaking solution for Sewage Sludge resulting from two sustainable products: Bio-Humus and clean live earthworms as resources for Wormarvel soil remediation/restoration systems.

We developed the "Waste2Crop" system, an entire process to treat Sewage Sludge by turning it, through some stages, into agriculture fertile soil (or horticulture), which is used to grow food-quality crops for humans. Thus, the problem of treating Sewage Sludge (or any organic sludge) becomes a resource of sustainable products with unlimited ongoing demand.
